Dhikala is the main and ideal area of the Corbett National Park that is
finest and rich source of wildlife, fauna and flora and has extreme natural
beauty. The long dense grassland is found only here. Dhikala Forest Lodge is
situated in the Ramganga Reservoir and the forested hills. It is 40 km away
from Ramnagar.
Dhikala is the luxurious jungle resort has 24 bunk
beds in the log huts and other Spartan huts to the luxurious and comfortable
cabins and bungalows. The cleaned room with coir matting floor and attached
English bathroom and toilets with all the facilities of shower and hot and
cold water are amazing. Although the showers are exist but bucket bath is
suggested and use of mineral water for cleaning the teeth for some reasons.
The lodge has proper power supply and power back up generator. A library on
wildlife references and books is available here with a large reading room
where slide show on Corbett wildlife are run.
The Dhikala resort
canteen provides delicious and hygienic western and Indian foods either per
day and also offers Janta meals. The resort restaurants serves only pure
vegetarian Indian, and Chinese foods, they used stone-ware crockery to serve
the foods. Liquor is not provides by the resort but most visitors carry
their own wine and drinks with them. A Dhaba is also there where you enjoy
the adventures and latest sightings with mouthwatering foods.
Exactly one km away from the Dhikala Forest Lodge there is a watchtower
beside a waterhole from where you can see plenty of wild animals and
migrated birds. Various types of safaris like elephant safari and jeep
safari are organized for viewing the wild animals and forest. If you want to
explore the wildlife in the real way you may recommend to stay only at
Dhikala for the lifetime experienced.
