Sri Venkateswara National Park The Sanctuary is about 15
km from kadapa, 420 km from Hyderabad and 10 km from Tirupati. It has a rich
variety

of
plant species like Sandalwood, Redsanders, Shorea, Thumbergiana, Shorea
talura, Terminalia pallida, Cycas bebbomei, Syzygium alterifolium etc. It is
the habitat for very rare and endangered golden Gecko, Indian Gaint
Squirrel, tree Shrew and Flying Lizards.

Flora & Fauna:
Dry deciduous mixed forests with patches of moist deciduous forests in the
valleys. Some of the rare and endemic plant species like red sanders, shorea
talura, shorea thumbuggaia, terminalia pallida, sandal wood, cycas beddomei,
syzgium, psilotum nudam etc., occur in this area. The animals found are
panther, sloth bear, sambar, cheetal, mouse deer, barking deer, chowsingha,
wild boar, wild dog, hyena, jackal, fox, civet cat, jungle cat, rare and
endangered golden gecko, slender loris, Indian giant squirrel, tree shrew
and lizard.
DANDELI WILDLIFE
SANCTUARY
Located
in the Uttar Kannada district in the State of Karnataka,110 to 140 kms from
Panjim ( Goa ) Dandeli abounds in a richness of flora and fauna. Its

etc.
The Main Bird species include Magpie Robin , Blue headed
gound thrush, Golden Backed Woodpecker, Indian Cuckoo, Crested Serpent
Eagle, Malabar Pied Hornbill, Grey Hornbill and a large variety of other
Birds.
